In submitting three short films so far to Open Source Movies, two of which are reviewed at least once, we are grateful for any reviews we get: positive, negative, or largely indifferent. At the risk of stating the obvious, those reviews help determine whether someone will want to take the time to download and view what usually takes a fair amount of effort on our part to produce.

If we haven't done our job correctly, we are either ignored or hopefully hear constructive criticism of where we went off track, pointing to future improvement. On the other hand, when we get something largely right, it's encouraging to be rewarded with a thoughtful pat on the back.

Either way, all forms of creativity are opinion expressed; reviews reflect one more opinion, and we encourage you to continue for everyone's benefit.

Thank you, criticians. I will continue reviewing because I am grateful that I am able to view these films. Certainly the film-makers expend a lot of time and skill in making their films. It only takes a few minutes to write a review and express appreciation.

Reviews increase downloads. It's a fact. Especially negative ones, it seems. Just take a look at Skip and Jen's Music Vid, the batting average of which continues to stay in the top five and keeps going up, and all because I touched off a string of reviews with my one sarcastic, satirical review.

Reviews work. Thank you Cashel. Point proven. Q.E.D.. Just turn in your homework already and go home.

Tambora....thanks...I try to help in keeping the site looking alive. If film-makers view it and it looks inert then they maay decide against uploading their films (they have plenty of alternative choices ) My reviews do NOT have your technical expertise so YOU are needed .

Cashel is obviously a troll. The best thing to do is to ignore him, or inform the proper people(read: administrators) and let them deal with him.

The Internet Archive Forums are not a place for name calling. In regards to Cashel, he has been asked to leave the forums and reviews. It is best to let him leave peacefully and not discuss the matter further. Thank you for your cooperation.
